But more seriously, people underestimate the beauty of Burgenland as well so be sure to check out the region when you come visit! After a one-hour drive from Vienna (pick-up from the hotel, don&#8217;t worry, you won&#8217;t have to drive) , your adventure begins with a leisurely walk through the cobblestone streets of Eisenstadt&#8217;s Old Town. Of course, you can&#8217;t go to Eisenstadt without tasting the famous Esterhazy cake so you&#8217;ll make a stop there. You can also visit the castle, which is one of Austria&#8217;s most beautiful baroque palaces. And if you&#8217;re into classical music (well even if you&#8217;re not, you can&#8217;t go to Austria and ignore the huge musical print this country has), you&#8217;ll be able to learn about Haydn, who was a director of music and composer in the service of the Esterh\u00e1zy princes. And there&#8217;s also a wine museum! Anyway, back to our tour! Next, descend into the depths of a local wine cellar, where you&#8217;ll meet one of Austria&#8217;s oldest wine producers. Then you&#8217;ll be off to Rust, a picturesque village nestled on the shores of Lake Neusiedlersee, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
